| Discover a side of Miami so hidden even the natives don't know it exists. A space rocket abandoned in the swamp, a futuristic expo that never was, a city wiped off the map, a national monument at the bottom of the ocean. Miami-Dade has seen many places come and go in its 178-year history. In this book is a collection of places abandoned, demolished, hidden in plain sight, or that never were - places that helped shape Miami-Dade into the amazing county it is today. Photographs, addresses, and coordinates are provided to take a “then-and-now” look into the Magic City’s hidden history. |
Unlike the majority of the books we publish, Miami Is Missing is nonfiction. It's narrated by Latin Grammy Winner Vicente Solis. Mr. Solis, who lives in Miami, is musician and multi-disciplinary executive with more than 25 years of experience in the music, TV, and general entertainment industries. He co-founded and runs the online radio station Wynwood Radio (wynwoodradio.com), handles artist’s relations for branded content, writes music and performs as voice over talent. He also oversees the US operations of the production and creative agency Plataforma TV. Born and raised in Mexico City, he held executive positions within Viacom International Media for several years, and has dedicated part of his career to the business of music publishing with EMI. His smooth, engaging narration brings true Latin flair to Miami Is Missing.

The Gullwing Odyssey is a four-time award-winning fantasy /comedy adventure narrated by the wonderful Dr. Elliott Walsh. Dr. Walsh is a natural storyteller. His easygoing style brings a casual vibe to this very funny adventure comedy. But make no mistake: when the action gets intense (and it often does), the doctor delivers a nail-biting performance. It also speaks to his great talents that he voiced each character separately, employing unique accents and mannerisms, to bring the production to life. This is especially impressive when the entire cast of characters is speaking at once. The end result is a unique, engaging, hilarious, and memorable experience that you shouldn't miss.
The Shadows And Teeth is our premier horror series. It is narrated by Wyatt Gray, who, despite the dark subject matter of the audiobooks he produces, is actually a stand-up comedian. He strives to create comedy that is smart, sophisticated and with a hint of subversion. His unapologetic enthusiasm and wholesome nature is a breath of fresh-air in an industry dominated by cynicism and vulgarity. He is the recipient of the 2016 Martin Stand Up Comedy Grant.
The Father of Flesh is narrated by Christopher Walsh. Christopher is a writer and actor based in Chicago, IL. He is a member of the artistic ensemble at Lifeline Theatre, a company member and Literary Manager of WildClaw Theatre, a member of the Dramatists Guild, and SAG-AFTRA. Christopher has performed with a number of Chicago companies including Lifeline Theatre, the House Theatre of Chicago, the Factory Theater Company, Strawdog Theatre, A Red Orchid Theatre, Griffin Theatre, Right Brain Project, and City Lit. He’s also made it to the small screen a couple of times, with appearances on Chicago Fire (NBC) and Betrayal (ABC). Favorite roles include Abraham Pride in The Hammer Trinity, Sgt. Jackrum in Monstrous Regiment, Porthos in The Three Musketeers, Bigwig in Watership Down, and Mr. Vandemar in Neverwhere.
Slasher Sam is narrated by Jaye Wilde, whose sultry voice and nuanced narration lends a fine edge to this already cutting tale... see what we did there? Now that's how you write a pun worthy of a certain dream demon/burn victim with a penchant for striped sweaters and cutlery!
Holy is narrated by Jay R. Smith. Jay is a masterful storyteller and a true audio professional. His narration is a delight, his voice acting versatile and engaging.
Christopher Cobb's books, The Slant Six and A Moon Called Sun, are the hottest sci-fi to come from Darkwater yet. Now that they've been made into audiobooks, we can share how awesome they are in a whole new way: with these new book trailers! Each has a tantalizing snippet of audio for your listening pleasure. The Slant Six is narrated by film and TV actor Matt Weight, who has worked as an actor since 1998 in theatre, films, television, and voice-over. He has produced over 60 audiobooks. A Moon Called Sun is narrated by E.R. Edwin. By day, he works as an IT Software Development Manager, and by night he brings characters to life with his gripping narration.
Critics and readers agree, Shadows And Teeth is a rockin' good horror series. With seven accolades since April of 2016, it has become our most-awarded line of books. Looks like it's time to expand the trophy rack! The series, curated by R. Perez de Pereda, now boasts three volumes containing thirty stories by such horror luminaries as the UK's legendary Guy N. Smith; the Croatian Queen of Horror Viktoria Faust; the prodigious and wildly popular Adam Millard; up and coming master of horror Nicholas Paschall of San Antonio, Texas; fantasy novelist Antonio Simon, Jr. of Miami, Florida; thriller writer Ken Pelham; and many more. Bring home the horror - each of our volumes is available in paperback, ebook, special edition hardbound, and audiobook narrated by the talented Wyatt S. Gray. |
