Every week, we bring you quirky stories, or bad drawings or poetry otherwise. You, our readers, have asked why we do what we do. The answer is simple: we're serious about writing.
Good stories are good stories, period. And who doesn't like a good story? We like them quirky, much as you might like your coffee black and we like ours with cream and sugar. There isn't much else to say about why you'll find quirky stories here. We like bad drawings and awful poetry too, but for different, less evident reasons.
We'll skip ahead to bad poetry and come back to drawings in a moment. Most bad poetry is unintentionally bad. Ironically, it's often the result of a writer attempting to compose something good. Now consider this: have you ever tried to write intentionally bad poetry? Short of throwing meaningless phrases together, it's not as easy as it seems. Sometimes you fail miserably at it and your poetry ends up being halfway decent. We'll admit, we're terribly bad at failing in this respect. We apologize in advance for the off-chance we may fail at failing to fail and you find our poetry palatable.
Our drawings, however, present a different story. We offer no excuses. Our drawings are laughably bad, and that's why we share them with you.
For all their faults, our doodles and poetry are quirky in their own right. Like abandoned puppies, they find a home here with us when no one else will take them in.
